The Woodland California weather station has been operational since August 29, 2024. It's purpose is to report real time weather data and sky conditions found in Woodland, California. The weather station is a Tempest Weather station
which is located near Beamer Park in the northern part of Woodland.
This weather station has two weather cameras.
The first camera is outfitted with a Reolink PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera located on the roof of a 2 story home. It is called, "PTZ WX Camera Woodland CA". It can be directed towards weather of interest in our area. The Reolink camera system has two cameras. Camera 1 is a wide field camera while camera 2 has a zoom lens. The system randomly switches between the two cameras. Most of the time they are looking east towards Lake Tahoe and takes a picture every 5 minutes. The second camera has a fisheye lens and looks towards the sky. It is called "Sky Camera Woodland CA". It is a Reolink FE-P camera located on the roof of a 2 story home. The image is round and it orientation has the north at the top, east to the left, south to the bottom and east to the left. If it is a clear day the image will show the sun towards the top and the color will appear sky blue.The camera takes a picture every 5 minutes. The weather station reports data to the following weather aggregators.
Windy.com Windy.com also carries a picture of the current sky conditions and updates it every hour.
